This scanner is really worth the money as opposed to paying an outrageous amount for a snap on scanner this is top notch

I brought this after watching a few YouTube videos, I work on my own car and van, and lately, have been having issues with the pair of them, I found this scanner to be very intuitive / easy to use. It scans the van so much deeper than my Carista dongle and has a great feature that you can link onto your phone's WiFi hotspot, once it has found a fault code you can hit the search button and it will take you to relevant pages regarding that fault code. Saves so much time. You can also use it for searching the web, put other apps on it. It has a decent little carry case.

Like many of you, I rarely leave reviews. This product, however, warrants it. Whether you use it on one or multiple vehicles, it will still pay for itself quickly.

The bottom line: It is well worth the money and has many uses if you are DIY oriented. It will save you hundreds of $$$ immediately.

I am a fan of DIY and I have already owned a number of diagnostic tools in my box. But now those tools fail to meet my demand as I want to do more diagnoses, not just reading and erasing diagnostic trouble codes. In other words, I need a higher-end tool for realizing my purpose. Hence I searched on the internet for some weeks to find a suitable one, and finally, this Autel MK808 turned out to be the best choice.

The scanner is great and fast at communicating with vehicles, for some reason, the bidirectional feature is not available to none of the car makes we have tried to test. Mode 6 is user-friendly and it's a great service reset tool and code reader. The stream data formats are good enough to interpret if a failing component does not meet the function criteria. The size and light weight make it convenient to carry around, a great complimentary scan tool for mobile repair or anyone who likes minimal space use.

So far so good......updates added a lot of 2021 cars. It read error codes and searched the internet.

Hi. Can this device reset the Vanos solenoid and Valvetronic motor in my Mini Cooper R56 ?

Does this have special functions? specifically calibrate turbo actuator vgt?

I bought the Autel mk808 and used it for the first time it was a pleasure. This tool does a lot more than advertised. I found out that I can access door module, instrument clusters, chassis module and too many more to mention. It is a very powerful tool. First use I was able to save 109 GBP for dealer diagnostic fee. Looking forward to save a lot more in the future. Highly recommended.
