Overall a great scanner. Beats the snap on or matco one for the price.
Does everything the bigger name scanners do for way less $.
As a professional automotive technician I can easily say this was a great buy.

I did the updates for every vehicle that is in my immediate and extended family.

You can code things in your vehicle like turning on and off the daylight running lights, features in the instrument cluster, blinker 3 times to pass or 1 time and others depending on the make and model.
Would recommend it.
The 908 only benefit is a larger screen and comes with the programming module, which you need to pay to use for each vehicle you program

Scans all vehicle systems, great for working on a variety of makes and models.

Perfect for a tech without having to spend a ton of money like tool truck scanners. It's a little slower then I'd like but other then that this scanner has done everything I expected

Great tool. We have so far used it for Ford, BMW, Chevrolet, and Jeep. All scanned perfectly. The trickiest problem we've worked on so far is an EVAP problem on the Chevy and the bi-directional scanning really helped locate the problem.

Well worth the money if you plan you own and love cars that break down quarterly.

Great Tool - it supports Bi-Directional controls, the 800 series doesn't

I do recommend getting a 64gig micro sd card though because there isn’t enough internal storage on it. Small price to pay but so worth it.

Just opened up, usually I'm all over the review section before buying so I gotta say it's well worth it for you who are on the edge. I bought it mainly for my BMW addiction because a cheep old craftsmen obd scanner didn't cut it, and the other reason was that I plan to work on cars a lot and where the industry is heading is very much computer-controlled.

And the DTC print outs look professional and you can save customer data and pictures all associated with that VIN number.

Overall as a 19 year veteran in the auto industry with experience from four manufacturers and a lot of scan tools over the years, I feel Qualified to say that without a doubt this scanner is by far the best value and retains all the functions a technician needs at a price That doesn’t make my wallet cry. The initial purchase was reasonable and software updates are the cheapest I’ve seen for such a capable tool.

Great product across the board. I've been a dealership technician for 16 years and have seen all kinds of scanners from just code readers, all the way up to the $5,000+ snap on scanners and I gotta say, this autel 906bt offers the best of both worlds. So far I haven't come across anything it won't do other than TPMS which it clearly states it won't do. Diagnostic tools within the tablet are laid out like manufacturer software which is nice. Tablet doesn't seem too rugged, but with all electronics, care should be taken not to abuse it. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this product if you are a professional technician. It's far less money than the tool truck brands and does so much more, definitely worth a look.

Good product and quality that the way to save money from shop diagnostics

I’ve had this scan tool for close to three years now and use it daily at work. I’ve never dropped it or loaned it out but I can say that it’s an amazing value. The snapon is faster at a full code scan but besides that it does everything that the snapon scanners can do. I’ve programmed keys coded ecu’s and endless amounts of diag with it. I’ve had to use the tech support two times for minor issues after updates but that’s it. I did have to install a new battery after a year of use but that’s easy and inexpensive. The wireless vci is a feature that is priceless also.
Updates are not very costly and one subscription covers all markets and they are releasing updates consistently with little to no issues.

I'm an advanced DIY'er that has been frustrated with resolving today's OBD-II car issues. Just being able to read and clear basic trouble codes with basic OBD-II tools is virtually useless. Manufacturers are much more clever than allowing non-dealers to truly diagnose and troubleshoot their cars and trucks to a component level. I researched many tools and from many manufacturers and the MS906BT was the most robust tool I found and is so easy to use. In my opinion, it's worth the few hundred extra to get a bi-directional scanner that can do coding as many of the car functions and features like seat memory and so much more can only be accessed and resolved with this feature. My Porsche Panamera tested these features and I was able to save big bucks in shop labor and avoid being sold things I did not need. This tool is professional-grade at a hobbyist price and covers most cars and trucks right out of the box.

I first bought the 800 series and really liked the interface but found it didn't support bi-directional controls.
For me that was a deal breaker, I found that the 900 series did, I got the MS906BT and am very happy.
Not only does it support MANY more features it also has a Bluetooth interface, I didn't realize just how nice that would be having had a cable-connected scanner for the past 20 years. The only negative is it is a little slow when scanning the modules for the first time but overall I believe it is a great tool for the price.
