As a 32+ year certified Master Technician. I have used OTC and Snap On systems. This platform for me seemed to be very user friendly, cost-effective and offers most of what I need to do in my shop. I have multiple pieces of equipment and programmers, however, this again, is user friendly and offers most of what is required on a day to day basis.

We are looking for the best item at the lowest price, Autel ms906 pro is easy to communicate with the car (Bluetooth), it is a strong device, it did not break when dropped, battery takes so long, I am happy with my purchase

It's a pretty darn good scanner for the money. I really like the Bluetooth plug for the vehicle so you can walk around the vehicle with the scanner which is a huge plus to me. I had a circuit issue on a seat belt tensioner and was able to pull up live data and walk around the vehicle wiggling wires until I found the issue. I replaced that wiring harness and it's GTG now. Love the bi-directional features also and the live data. Would purchase again.

I already have some entry-level OBDll scan tools, but I'm looking for an advanced tablet to
improve my work efficiency, I purchased the 906 pro scanner out of a mechanic friend's recommendation and have used the scanner on a 2008 BMW 528i(E60)2014 Volvo XC60, and
2015 Ford Fusion SE. The scanner has worked flawlessly with every car and has all the functionality a home mechanic could need. It can code in some of the factory disabled features of the BMWs, and the bidirectional control is much better than other versions. The scanner has already paid for itself with all the services I've performed on vehicles.

Overall if you need a very capable tool, and aren't doing programming (just coding), you must choose this MK906PRO scanner. It is currently available for VW and BMW, (I will update this review if l run code testing on other models.) and l was able to turn off the iDrive safety warning and immediate seatbelt reminder for BMW every time the ignition is powered on.

 
 

I've used it to help one of my regular clients to bleed the abs pump/controller on a 1998 Chrysler town and country minivan. It worked great. And the bi-directional control test is another appeal: the scanner can give commands to the vehicle that it will follow. Is it worth paying more for? Sure! If you work alone, having a bidirectional scanner would probably be a huge convenience. Even if you do have plenty of coworkers, do you really want to bother them every time you need to pop the trunk, or turn on the headlights?

My husband have been a technician over the years and used nearly all kinds of different brand of diagnostic scanners. Coming from a snap on versus diagnostic scanner and he decided to look for a new one that would not break our wallet and decided to take this Aurel mk906pro for a spin. He have been using this for a month. He could do every everything the versus can do like bi directional tests even turn on the wippers or honk the horn. Perfect. Thank autel for making such a great product.

I owned a MS906BT purchased in 2017, it was fine but run a slow response. So I bought another new MK906PRO. This MK906PRO is a robust diagnostic
tool that more than serves my personal mechanical needs and runs more smoothly and fast than ever.

It tracked down a door locking fault on a 2012 Toyota and showed a simple short in a wire. instead of replacing an expensive body control Module. Easy to use and understand. Saving me too much time and money. Great!

Super versatile scanner, offered tons of functionality across all the cars I tried this on. From VWs and BMWs to Subarus and Hondas, this did literally everything I could have wanted including special coding features and tons of factory resets.
Super easy to setup and use, this is one of those tools I'll wonder how I lived without one for so long.

If I could only choose one I would choose the Autel. They both are great tools. The Snap-on may be a bit more convenient, maybe a bit faster, and also easier to use. That is because Autel does so much more at a much lower upfront cost and yearly update costs, more than half the cost actually. The Autel is a fully functioning tool, tablet, web browser, is wireless obd, supports wireless print and email. The snap on model that could compare is $10,000 or so. You can PMI modules and access some data that snap-on does not allow. I’ve had some issues with trying to add an SD card to store all my customer reports, not sure if that’s the tool or the card yet, but that’s it so far so good. Choose the Autel, for the price of 1 yearly snap-on update you can buy almost buy a new Autel every year and do much more with it.

Price , quality and professional level tool.

I would recommend it to anyone that works in the automotive industry
